Limavady Grammar School is proud to be supporting “Deaf Awareness Week”.

JMcCreadyGeneral News

Over the past few months, pupils from years 8 and 14 have been attending British Sign Language Classes, taken by one of our classroom assistants, Mrs Bradley.  Pupils are now able to ‘meet and greet’ deaf people and they have the confidence to be able to carry out a basic conversation with them.  The highlight of the year was having our Signing Choir perform at the Christmas Carol Service.

There is great feedback from all the pupils concerned; they are finding the classes really interesting, beneficial and great fun.

Thanks to Mrs Bradley for giving up her time to support this very worthwhile cause.
