LGS Current Affairs Society

CBoyleClubs & Awards

At LGS we encourage students to use their voices for the greater good and speak out on issues important to them. The newly formed Current Affairs Society gives students a place to express their opinions and views on matters… that matter! Students can indulge in their most curious queries, from Stormont to 10 Downing Street and to the US Congress: from China to Iran and Russia. Our Current Affairs Society provides an opportunity to delve into debates on issues students are most passionate about. Discussing topics such as ‘is the monarchy an outdated institution?’ to the events unfolding in parliament right now!
All year groups are welcome to further develop and strengthen their knowledge and understand how local, national and global events of today shape our society and ultimately our futures.

We meet one Monday a month in N15 – see noticeboards and announcements for topics and dates.
