Visit from Game of Thrones Costume Designer


Year 11 Art & Design students were delighted to invite Christine Boyle, Costume Designer and Maker for the Game of Thrones.  Our students had great pleasure doing the workshop, taking inspiration from her work.  Sketching styles, fabric manipulation and experimentation has left the students buzzing with new ideas.  Thanks for a wonderful afternoon.

Special Elite Award for Junior Cricket

Congratulations to Corin (Year 10) who was presented with a Special Elite Award for Junior Cricket this week. After excellent performances for LGS and Eglinton Cricket Club, Corin was selected for North West U13 and the Ireland U13 teams. He is hoping to continue his development on the Irish U15 squad. Well done, Corin!  

Classical Singing Success

Limavady Grammar Pupil Elected to UK Youth Parliament


Congratulations to Limavady Grammar School pupil Anna McElhinney who last week was elected to the UK Youth Parliament as a representative for the constituency of East Londonderry. Open Night 2018

Thanks to all the parents and pupils who came along to see us on open night.  It was great to meet you all and show you LGS at its best.  Here are a few highlights from the night.



The A2 PE Class ran the Zumbathon event for Year 8 in aid of Angel Wishes Charity, raising over £500. Over 90 Year 8s took part in what was a colourful and fun hour of dancing.
