Limavady Grammar School held their annual Open Night on Thursday 11th January and welcomed over 1000 Primary Six and Seven pupils and their families, to explore the opportunities the school has to offer.

Throughout the evening, families were taken on tours of Limavady Grammar School’s facilities by the Prefects who were delighted to show off their school to these prospective students. Tours made stops in each subject area, alongside many other facilities, including the school gym and sports facilities, careers hub and pupil wellbeing rooms.

The School Prefects proved to be confident and articulate ambassadors who exhibited a genuine passion for learning. As families toured the school, they were impressed by the high levels of student engagement and the quality of work on display. It was obvious that the students take pride in their academic achievements and are encouraged to pursue excellence in all aspects of their education.

Parents and families who attended the Open Night expressed their appreciation for the welcoming atmosphere that permeated the event. From the moment they stepped foot onto the school grounds, they felt a sense of belonging and inclusiveness. This was further reinforced by the openness and approachability of the teaching staff, who took the time to answer any queries about the school’s curriculum and extracurricular activities.

In addition to showcasing the academic endeavors of their students, the Open Night also highlighted Limavady Grammar’s commitment to fostering a well-rounded education. The range of opportunities available was met with great enthusiasm from parents, who acknowledged the importance of supporting their children’s holistic development. “One parent said, “You get a feeling in a school that pupils are cared for and you have it”

Limavady Grammar School Principal Nicola Madden expressed her pride in staff and students for the way in which they represented the school. She added, “The positive feedback received from parents and families further reinforces my belief that our school provides an exceptional learning environment, where students are not only academically competent but also confident and friendly.
