Staff enjoyed a coffee morning/lunch on Friday to raise funds for MacMillan Cancer Support. We had quite the spread from homemade caramel squares to carrot cake. A total of approximately £300 was raised! A huge thank you to all staff who contributed in any way!

European Day of Languages was celebrated in school this week with a French breakfast. Pupils and staff were treated to a pain au chocolat and a chocolat chaud whilst listening to Edith Piaf.
Yr12 and 14 Art students enjoyed their trip to Flowerfield Arts Centre, Portstewarrt to visit the exhibition and talk by Nicola Nemec. Congratulations to Finn O’Neill, Alex Henderson and Ethan Mullan who have all been selected for their outstanding achievement in Athletics to join the rising stars athletics programme 11-15 years age group. This is an elite athletics squad were athletes will receive top class coaching from Northern Ireland coaches, who have recognised their excellent potential. Well done boys!

Zara travelled to Russia performing at the Spassakya Tower Festival in Moscow as part of the Paula Braiden class of Drum Majors display team. She has visited Kremlin twice, and performed in the tattoo weekend in Red Square. Princess Stephanie of Monaco was there for the first show, so it’s fair to say she had a ball.
Year 8 induction at end of August involved all Year 8 doing activities with their form teachers and getting to know each other.
