Apprenticeship Opportunity in Printing/Sign-making at NUPRINT in Derry/Londonderry!
You will be required to undertake and complete an apprenticeship and no previous experience is required. There are good prospects for advancement within the company.
Minimum of 5 GCSEs required including Maths, English and IT or equivalent – preferably at Grade C or above.
Good manual dexterity
Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
Ability and desire to learn new skills
Enthusiasm
41 hours per week Monday to Friday inclusive. Factory is open between the hours of 6am and 11pm working on a shift system. Hours will be agreed on appointment and may or may not include some shift work.
Pleasant working environment. Uniform provided free of charge.
34 days accrued holiday per annum.
The 2 year apprenticeship programme will include the following:
• Keeping work space and machines clean and tidy.
• Helping and supporting team members at all times.
• Learning to set, run and maintain a range of printing machines including digital.
• Ink mixing, colour matching and plate mounting.
• Gaining an understanding of raw materials and their uses.
• Learning how to operate finishing equipment including slitters and rewinders.
• Assisting with quality checks and ensure the company quality procedures are adhered to.
• Following instructions accurately and being able to communicate issues or problems.
• Ensuring all relevant paperwork and documentation is accurately completed on time.
• Undertaking all training in relation to apprenticeship programme
• Following all company health and safety rules.
