This specification is a unitised course:

• Unit 1:  Working in Health and Social Care
• Unit 2: Personal Development

Both units are delivered in Years 11 and 12. Controlled assignments are submitted in Year 12 and the external examination is also completed at the end of Year 12.

• Accessing care services

Unit 2:

• Human growth and development through life stages
• Factors affecting development and growth
• Relationships within each life stage
• Coping with life changes
